Nayak, Rounaq (2026) Ensuring a just transition to net zero in the UK agri-food system: Identifying research, policy, and action priorities. UWE https://researchdata.uwe.ac.uk/id/eprint/789/
Brief summary of project
The research is looking at how the UK’s transition to net zero in the agri-food system can be made fair and inclusive for all, ensuring that farmers, food producers, and communities are not negatively impacted by climate policies. The research questions are what challenges and opportunities exist in making this transition socially just, and what policies or actions are needed to ensure that no group is disproportionately affected? To help answer these questions, we hosted a workshop with people involved in agriculture, food systems, policy, and community initiatives. The aim of the workshop was to gather insights and experiences related to Just Transitions in agri-food.
