Project TitleBystander intervention for prevention of sexual violence in one UK university Brief summary of projectN=130 first-year students received a two-hour optional bystander intervention programme. Proxy measures of: understanding, knowledge, familiarity, confidence and likelihood to intervene were used. N=84 responses were received. Responses were summarised using descriptive statistics, mean, standard deviation and the chi-square test of association. Findings suggest intervention was positively received by a high percentage of respondents, and conveying simple information is relatively problem free. However, conveying complex information, such as strategies for increasing confidence and likelihood to use intervention, is more problematic. PublisherUWE Bristol Details
